Why not Krom? He made Alma's armour, that stuff was very intricate.

that was a specific skill from a talent "barding"
I think for making armor for the pixies he would need either a blueprint or a lot of practice (assuming its not herb-lore restricted). As a journeyman smith tho i'm sure he'd be up to the task of making such delicate armor with the minute detail required for this brand of smithing

"Talent called Barding. If ay can lay my hands on a creature, then ay can see what armor or weapons they might be able ta use." Bk7

He still needed to be able to make it.

Krom seems like the kinda guy who boasts about making a bunch of big manly shit, but also makes small delicate pieces when no one is looking.

Richter can buy a talent to resize things. Im wondering if HM has some old knowledge of pixie protection. Hearth tree seems to be able to grow armor of any size and their armor is pretty legit.

Might be best though to not give them armor which would slow them down. Instead give them clothes of malleable iron enchanted to make them faster and augmented with gem forging (onyx) to increase concealment.

Then give them little cloaks of concealment. Teach them stealth. If they never get hit they dont need armor.

    It's extremely malleable.

Probably can't just use a rolling pin - or can they? Is Richter forming it by hand? - but making a thinner sheet shouldn't be too hard. It would have far less durability and defence, but a pixie isn't supposed to take a hit from a human. Its the equivalent of a human taking a strike from an 30 meter giant at their own level. Instant death in most scenarios.

Using it to contain enchantments on the other hand, should be worthwhile.

Maybe black ice or an elementum blade can cute it to 1/8" thick. But if you tried to pound it thinner, you would just reduce the durability and it would reform each time. The rolling pin though...maybe a press could do it, but I feel like the universe would say no.

If you stack it on top of another sheet, it might become 1/2" thick and be lost!

Why would it reform each time? Its a piece of metal no matter how malleable. Forging it should be doable.

I guess so, but I just didn't picture him able to forge it when it is as malleable as cloth.

Probably not by traditional forging methods, but maybe by Alchemical or Magical methods?

Do we know how long before Elora can do it with the tree again? If Ricther got the lover specialization would she be able to bang a few more pixies out of the tree?

2 births per year for each female pixie. Pixie queens really just get the ball rolling. It goes something like this

It would be interesting if that birth rate factor increase effects the queen too.

I assume it does. Hence 100 new pixies from her every half year instead of the normal 1 time.

But not the one from The Quickening, the others about birthrate. The Quickening one we know works with it, which is a positive indication that the others might too.

True. I'd assume they work the same way as they do for larger humanoids. But bonuses prior to the "2 births per year" statement, are likely already part of that calculation. I'd look for later stuff, but I need to be at work in 7 hours or so.

If it was heated and pressed it shouldn’t effect durability in the same way that armor is forged without lowering the durability of the material or finished product.

Well then do that we could get 6 times more area if reduced from 1/4" to 1/24" (~1 mm). Though I think doing this could probably destroy the properties or durability of the metal.

I'll do you one better. The harassment would likely interrupt a caster. That is huge. Think back to the goblin fight when they were chasing the sprite towards the MV...this was before the sprite army and MV went after the bloodstone. Had that caster been interrupted casting the would likely have halved the mv losses. Or even look at the bloodstone fight. A pixie interrupting the casting there would have been huge. I go one step further. Now that Richter is starting to back objects of holding. Give a Pixie a pouch of holding and load it with a large rock and drop it from altitude.
