What’s the connection between the Labyrinth and the Lattice in that book? As earth is part of the former does that make it a lattice world? Will it get its own gods and peoples like Zero’s new world did? Was earth formerly part of the lattice way back when?

I think the lattice is a remnant of a highly advanced magical civilization that once existed. Over time the labyrinth has been eating its way through the lattice worlds towards the center, overcoming its ability to resist. Once the center had been taken, the great game of the gods started and new gods and new sapient beings were spawned not just on the central world but likely on the secondary worlds as well, small populations ripe for integration by the new gods.

That's the reason this world is so important, that so many gods are accepting a return to tier 0 status. They aren't risking it all for a fragment of one world, but for all those paths leading to other worlds ripe for expansion. Even if a god or a pantheon loses its possible they can hold on to a substantial chunk of the secondary worlds for themselves.
