I don't think sentience or the lack of it matters here. The rock giant wasn't sentient (or at least only barely, some animals can remember faces and carry a grudge, which is the greatest feat of intelligence it showed), most constructs aren't sentient, the undead aren't sentient, certain fey are nonsentient, Richter barely seems sentient most of the time, but that doesn't make them part of the beast/ animal category that the Dungeon has access to. ;)

True but I hardly put a sakaru pixie above a symbiotic parasite.

I have only said it’s a plausible possibility. I did say clearly that the dungeon was feeding on the Chrysalis ambient mana. That’s what the dungeon does. I think we might should go back to what the dungeon can consume. You had made the comment that the dungeon could only consume beings it defeated. That’s not actually accurate. We also know that Ricthers dungeon is an exception as it drank the blood that dropped from creatures it hadn’t defeated. Randy said he had never seen that before. Also the dungeon can consume anything left in the dungeon. Another point the dungeon didn’t kill all of the litch troops but it consumed them all including their weapons armor and magical items. Ricthers first spell to cast in the dungeon was the mist village spell for light. After he walked out a winner (as always) the year long spell for light was consumed.

I don’t think sentient beings are supposed to be spawned at all. My understanding is that mindless beings are all that could be spawned. Which carries me back to the issue with the Hall of Elemental Hunters spawning sentient beings or avatars as it is stated. That also breaks another so called rule of real world interference. As the actions of the dungeon had real world affects on the king, his family, and his fellow adventurers. As minor as it may be the dungeon is supposed to remain a neutral entity.

I also agree with some of the others here that Sakaru does not mean Abyssal nor is it a process to become Abyssal.

What is said about the Sakaru is that they are “lost” without their meidon. When they lose their other half they lose their mind. Then they try to bond with the strongest magical attraction they come across.

Elora did guide the other pixies into trees. She also said in time they would heal and transform into something totally different.

If the presumption was correct that they were Abyssal then why wouldn’t she have had them all put down? Why wouldn’t the giant ant have been Abyssal?

    Like the wolf? Probably.

As long as it can't recreate a sentient plague.

Richters Dungeon is Limited to Animals and Beasts, but I'm betting that the Dungeon is capable of Spawning Intelligent creatures as long as they are Beasts, but I suspect that they will be more expensive to create.

I also think that Sakaru Pixies are still Sentient ( and a Sentient Race), just no longer Racinal or Comprehending.

Uhuh what rule of noninterference would that be (hopefully not something I've said XD )? Dungeon/ labyrinth creatures are not an extension of their creators, though said creators do control them to some extent. The mauler showed us that they have their own motivations in addition to a certain range of emotions :)

It was also implied they can leave the labyrinth and cause chaos, though they have to return eventually or they will die.

I think sentient beings can be spawned, but the first generations will be extremely limited mentally and they may well be little more than automatons. The avatar of the leylines, the hairbinger and various creatures that enter the service of a Dungeon - why not? Minibosses :) - would be smarter.

Such a plague would most likely be limited to the Dungeon itself. Otherwise, that's a disaster in the making.

I'm not sure the Labyrinth would allow such a creation in the first place, I might just prevent its creation? Sure its a shortterm boon, but I imagine that there would be hell to pay later. As in powerful adventurers immune to the disease banding together to knock out every Dungeon they can reach as well as every Dungeon that spawns later on. I know I wouldn't be very understanding if 90% of the population died from a Dungeonspawned disease. It takes the Dungeon from dangerous asset, to deadly menace.

Dragons are the strongest, noblest, smartest, and wisest of creatures, we are just taking a nap while we wait for the end of Man. Given the current speed of your political and societal decline, that's some time next year.

I believe in time Ricthers Dungeon will be able to spawn nearly anything. According to The series sentient beings are not supposed to be spawned, but that can be argued due to Randy’s mother in the Hall of Elemental Hunters.

Yeah, Please don’t remind me! The political and social decline is definitely here. Just look at those cities here in America being ran by the socialist Democratic Party! Burning, looting robbing, raping, stealing, and killing. Those socialist in control claim there are no riots just peaceful demonstrations. Meanwhile they don’t up hold the civil contracts which give them the right of authority by their elected positions. The protection of the public and their right of property are being denied. Without the legal enforcement of law all civil contracts erode and are followed by mayhem and vigilante justice.

Politics eh? Not that there is actually much raping or killing going on. At worst some buildings have been vandalized and some assholes are using the protests as an excuse to loot. Same as any other major series of protests, except this one is fueled by racial injustices (real as well as perceived) and coronafears + consequences of corona and political measures to contain it.

Lets leave the politics at that (or at least lets move it to a private discussion for those with an interest, so we keep the forum from becoming a political battleground XD), mine was just meant a general joke on the state of the world of Man, though admittedly the current meltdown in the US is a fairly major event that will go into the history books.

Dragon, I don’t mean to be rude but you must not be well informed. The socialist mayor of Seattle allowed them a complete autonomous zone. There were rapes and murders that police were not allowed in to work. If they would have been allowed to do their job things wouldn’t have happened the way they have. Funny thing is the mayor was okay with it. She allowed them to burn, loot, kill, rape, beat, or do anything else they wanted. That is untill the started in her neighborhood. When the mob showed its head at her house she had the police go to work the very next day. They cleaned out the “chop” autonomous zone in one day. Protesters are fine rioters are not. Maybe they will export their ways to Denmark next. I fear for you that it will come your way soon. Sharia has its eyes on your legal system.

The liberal major of Seattle did in fact allow the peaceful assembly of protestors for several weeks after negotiations with their leadership, such as it was, allowing them to control a protest zone that covered five blocks of downtown seattle. This was ended after a shooting on the 29 of June that left one dead and one wounded, one of two fatalities in the month long occupation. Before that the zone was made smaller on several occasions as occupiers left the zone and returned to their homes. In this way the mayor of Seattle avoided the kind of violent showdown between officers and protesters that has been seen in numerous other cities across the US. Was he right to do so? What was the alternative?

    One thing is certain.
The kind of vicious beatdown of defenceless protesters and journalists - who had offered no violence and were well within their rights to be there, with plenty of time before curfew - the world watched in lafayette square was the kind of thing seen in a dictatorship, not a democratic nation answerable to its citizenry. All so a picture could be taken in front of a church of a man holding the bible upside down. This action poured gasoline on the flames of the political unrest and solved absolutely nothing beyond catering to a narrow group of extremists. So if you want to blame the major of Seattle for not starting a war in the streets of his own city, that's on you. But do remember that the protests started spiking after Lafayette square, not after the formation of the Capitol Hill Autonomous zone.

As for the "rapes and murders".
The entire protest across the US has seen a total of 30 dead, a number that includes 25 deaths to gunshots. Most of those were undoubtedly looters taking advantage of the distraction of law enforcers as well as business owners who were murdered trying to protect their property against them, not people murdered by angry mobs as have been postulated endlessly without evidence. Some were probably shot by psychos from either extreme of the political spectrum, heavens know there are plenty of people willing to kill for or against status quo.

Look at any large scale protest and you will see the same pattern. Most people are peacefully assembled, a few are not. Once it gets big enough looters start taking advantage.

Now if we are to continue this we really need to move this from a public thread to a dedicated thread. Preferably private.

Drag, I live in America my uncle had a house in Seattle. I am well aware of the accuracy of what I have stated. You should read this article from June the 1st. Then consider that things were still going on here in the US not only in Seattle but across the country.

SPD: 57 arrests, 'hundreds' of buildings damaged during weekend's riots

A long time ago I was advised with a large group of people, when talking to foreign people in their land you should not talk about their internal politics.

    I am done.

Yes. The political and societal decline of man as perceived from the viewpoint of a dragon. Are americans all of man or one nation out of hundreds?

Yours are not the biggest issues facing the world.

    Back to the core token!

I like the idea of giving it to the Sepulcher but that still might not make a difference even with the core being added afterwards.

The time frame is the big issue.

I don’t think building a mana storage unit would be much help because it would only get a trickle charge. Unless the new powers awakened speeds that up.

We know the bugbears are getting ready to make a push.

I would expect the largest push to start with a spring offensive.

Building up the Sepulcher would be alright to meet any problems in a few months from now.

With the last two powers empowered I would think the mist will have expanded. That could slow down the enemies actions.

So what could the core token and the magic core be used on to defeat the enemy.

Maybe, the core token could be used on a workshop. Then they build war machines faster. They could also use a workshop to build a mechanical construct. Then use the core to power it.

That’s not really how I would like to see it used he only thing faster would be to stick it in another golem.
