Hi everybody. My name is James and I've been reading LitRPGs for about a year now. I don't read as much as some of you guys, but I've checked out a bunch of the more popular ones. I've also been writing my own LitRPG since March over on Royal Road called Apocalypse 2020. I just heard about these forums the other day and I was like "What? People still post on forums? Awesome!" This place looks really cool, so I'll be sticking around for a while. Hope to chat with all you folks.
Welcome. We went a bit retro to shake up the LitRPG scene a bit. If you have any questions, let me know. Enjoy your stay. p.s. The shops are here --> https://litrpgforum.com/dbtech-shop/ You approach the castle...
This place is best experienced on a 9600 baud modem. Ideally, with a monochrome CRT. I kinda know you. If I remember correctly, I saw your post about the book cover in one of the LitRPG groups.
Yep that was me. I'm still struggling to get a book cover together. Tried out Fiverr, but wasn't happy with the cover I got, so now I'm working with another artist to make an original painting for the cover. We'll see how that goes. I'm stressing big time over it.
Don't stress. You have complete control. That's the glory of self-publishing. If your first cover doesn't work out, you can revamp it later on. Nothing is written in stone. If money is an issue, then, go with a simpler image. Something iconic. That'll be easier for your artist to make and with a little negotiation, they may give you a break on price. If they don't, DeviantArt is full of artists.
Thanks John. Money is definitely an issue, but I'm also notoriously hard to please. So basically, I want something perfect and amazing, but I don't want to actually have to pay money for it, haha. Seriously though, I have high hopes for this artist. It wasn't exactly cheap, but not going to break the bank either. Then I'll have to pay somebody else to put the titles on it and such. Just want all of this to be done, so that I don't have to think about it anymore and can just focus on writing.
Greetings. I've been thinking of referring to this place as Arkham. It really isn't. The food is much nicer at Arkham.
Welcome to the party, mind the simple rules. First grab a hat, then take an empty seat, do not give the door mouse any sugar and when its time remember to move down.
Welcome to the fold. Feel free to chat at any time! I just checked out your current work in progress. I haven't read it yet, but it has Dallas in it so it's got to be awesome!
Thanks for checking it out! Yeah I live near Dallas, and the city plays a big part in my story. Thanks everybody for the welcomes. You guys are awesome!
