Hello! My name is C.J. Carella. I've worked in tabletop RPGs for some time (writing for game systems like Rifts, GURPS, and Unisystem, including the Buffy the Vampire Slayer official RPG), and more recently have been a freelance writer, with fifteen novels currently out in such genres as superheroes, military science fiction, fantasy and horror. My author page is cjcarella.com for anyone who wishes to check out my work I've been a fan of the LitRPG genre for a couple of years now, having enjoyed The Land series as well as assorted novels by Dakota Krout, Michael Chatfield, and James Hunter, among many others. I am currently working on a LitRPG series of my own (it focuses on leveling and action/adventure, with a harem subplot). I figured joining this forum would help me learn more about the genre beyond reading the books, and perhaps find beta readers (I already have a few, but most of them are fans of my military sf and don't have a lot of experience on this genre). Looking forward to browsing the forums and meeting people!
I'm former army and while understandable what the army was reduced to in your series made me sad. One of my Marine buddies pointed out your series to me and talked tons of trash. I'm working on a sci-fi series almost completely so I can send it to my buddy with all being right in the universe. Looking forward to your LitRPG work.
Yeah, I wasn't very nice to the Army (although the Air Force got the worst of it, lol). Congrats on writing, btw. The first book of the LitRPG, Twilight Templar, is out on Amazon, if you check it out, hope you enjoy it!
Thank you! That book was a lot of fun to write, so it's great that people are enjoying it. Currently doing final edits on Book 2 before I start Book 3. CJ
