When I have money (might have a bit soon, as Headshot is doing okay...) and time (which I'll have a ton of, with our new baby being born on Wednesday...) I'll have to work out a better way to format. I confess to just thunking the word .docx into Calibre and making it into an epub, this time (and probably next time...).

    Congrats on the baby.

If you have Scrivener or Sigil questions, let me know. Those are the two things I use currently for mobi/epub.

Thanks, Paul. I don't have a Mac and i refuse to do one of those wacky rent-a-mac over the internet things, even though I know Sigil would make the book look pretty. I've got Scrivener, but I've fallen out of the habit of using it. Don't know why, just have. maybe I should go back and set up some beat sheets and see what happens?

Scrivener is available for Windows. Sigil too.

I output an epub with Scrivener (makes chapters and T0S easy) then clean it up in Sigil.

You're right, of course. I was thinking of Vellum, which I thought was be all and end all. I've got Scrivener. Maybe I'll check out Sigil. :)

you know .. LMAO i did not think about doing that. Was looking at templates for my word processor etc etc looking up industry standards etc. Doing it your way is much simpler. Thanks

Just finished it last night. Wonderful book. My only constructive criticism would be that there are some idea/phrases that are repeated. Ex. Sure enough, they were picking up speed. Then 4 paragraphs later...Sure enough, the footsteps from the stairway got faster. This doesn't detract enough from the story to be distracting to me at least. I can't wait for the next one.
