I’m Nurian, 37. I like long walks on the beach, Guinness, and getting phat loot! My first LitRPG was Threadbare. It got me interested in the genre and now I’m hooked!
I heard about ya’ll from the Facebook page. I go through phases. Currently, my favorite is 7 Days to Die. Always
I just hopped on. Long story short, I set it up last year and promptly took it down due to lack of interest. @John Ward and I were talking about Zork and it came up. He suggested we use it as our version of Discord - a chat place. I threw the server back up, and here we are. Someone approached me about possible access to a more recent and stable codebase, but I haven't heard back yet. Still early days, but there's something up for now. Yes, the very first (??) LitRPG MUD. I'm a proud papa!
Cool, like I said, I might expand upon the idea. I was thinking of areas/mobs/items based on my Tower of Gates series - maybe other authors if they're interested. Hint, hint, nudge, nudge, @LitRPG Author group!
I know enough to be dangerous but that's about it. Hah. This was off-the-shelf. I just had to compile it and fire it up in the background. Some of the newer MUDs have in-game ways you can create areas and what-not.
I might be able to write item descriptions, lore items, etc. Writer's block is in full effect for stories on me, but I can make little blurbs.
Buy a Used Typewriter from the shops. We have a lot of good writing exercises in the guild. We're here to SLAY (with prejudice) so-called "writer's block"! Seriously, though, your help on possible items for a possible eventual full-time MUD wold be appreciated.
Greetings. Phat loot. Does anyone even really use that slang anymore? Did that end in the 80's or is Ready Player One bringing it back as Slangstalgia? (I think my spellchecker just went offline to the pub on that last one)
