...but stayed for the MUD. How awesome is this forum? I've been nerding out all morning reading about books, tabletops, and computer games. As a 40 year old, who spent his youth gaming, playing D&D and messing around with computers, this is like heaven. Finding out that there's a MUD hosted on this server as well? I'm never leaving! As a bit of background, I've only recently got into LitRPG, but have been really enjoying the genre. I came across it via a review of thenLAnd on Goodreads, and was thrilled to find out that this was just the tip of thenicebeth. Let the games begin
I did all the research and installed it last year sometime. Forgot about it due to lack of interest. @John Ward and I were chatting about Zork. We started talking about MUDs, and he thought it could be our Discord chat. Haha. I was like, "Hold on, I'll be right back." After reading the README again, I fired up the MUD and here we are. Someone reached out last night offering to ask for more recent codebase and help creating unique areas in it! Squee. I don't have a ton of time now, but it would be cool, I think.
Do they keep you from being eaten by grues? Also, there should be a forum trophy for posters who’ve had their threads derailed by me, heh.
Sorry. Shops are kinda hidden ... on purpose. It's a quest! Haha. DragonByte Shop | LitRPG Forum If you scroll over your LitCoins total on the upper right, a menu will pop open. It has the shop, banking, stealing, etc.
Wait, what was the original purpose of this thread? Oh yeah! Greetings to someone...Grope? Master of Grope? Sounds close enough.
Yes. I doubt it's going to happen, though. I need to lock myself in the writing-cave and start producing more. The server should be up for the foreseeable future. Unless I get hit by a truck or something. Good point, though. Something to consider. A few people have been grinding.
