Surely that number will be greater. According to your own arguments all the none skilled non humans have already fled. Didn’t you say the kingdom wouldn’t have been concerned about the lower skilled Workers? Didn’t you say they would all have previously fled? That only leaves the highly skilled workers.
The adelsverein colony which failed as Texas became a Republic were close to 50%. The May flower and the earliest colonials were highly vested with skilled laborers. It was the later immigrants that came by the ship loads as basic workers that upset the highly skilled balance. To many people started dying form fever and due to Indians later.
I said many of them would have fled. But you are ignoring the part where many of them were stopped at the border and either imprisoned or robbed. Others wouldn't have fled because they were sick, elderly, or children. Still others such as the families of crafters - say a man's wife and his seven children - are held hostage to force compliance or are unwilling to leave a loved one behind to suffer in bondage alone. Professionals and highly skilled make up somewhere around 1% of the Yvesian population at best (the village has something approaching 5% but they took in a lot of highlevel nonhuman crafters from Law). If 90% of the lowerskilled nonhumans have fled, you'd be looking at 10% of the remainder being highly skilled or professionals. I suspect its significantly less than 90 % but more than half given that the practice of slavery is not only rearing its ugly head, that fact is known by a complete nonentity. Others know as well, it would be an open secret in the affected communities. '
10% would be quite a boon. I still think the biggest impact will be a dwarven smith that comes to the MV to be able to learn enchants. The tough part about it is how would Krom react. I could easily see an adept professional smith being very willing to work the FOH for free for a year to get to learn enchants prior to trying to become a master.
I think krom would be fine with it, so long as richter leaves him as the village smith and backs him like he should. The foh would be his regardless of a visitor skill level. I can also see krom leveraging his position to gain further insight into his craft.
Yeah I could as well but he was pretty uptight about sharing. I guess that Richter could always use the points to make another main anvil. An adept smith should be able to make some of the masterwork items needed to help level the forge.
Lol I can hear Krom “every ten days you train us you get one hour access to the forges magical abilities. And that’s it! I’m the forge master here and don’t you forget it! One hour I say not a second more!”
I can absolutely see him saying this, however, an hour isn't long enough to get anything accomplished. It's more likely he would be offered 1 day in 10.
I hadn't thought about the fact that they would know about the dungeon. It makes me wonder if Mama's caravan might be trailed by a group of professional dungeon adventurers.
If they knew following her would get them there they most certainly would. Although, Mama nor anyone in her caravan would know that unless she had some means of communication with Randy or someone else in the village.
Well it is possible that nexus’s group could spill the beans. They do interfere in the land to a degree, and saddling richter with that headache might amuse nexus.
What triggers me is that Richto did not try to get more Intel from Nexus about the bugbear armies, numbers, locations, supplies etc... Maybe find out about some treasure locations.. or how to restore one of the Gods of the pantheon(little Nexus2)
Well I don't think Nexus can take sides in a mortal conflict so blatantly without incurring the wrath of his superiors.
He did mention that the bugbears are hmm what did he mention exactly? I mean that could be considered incriminating.. Still he has a lot of knowledge.. and Richto didn't even try..
Oh he should definitely have tried. I think it can be excused though, given that he is in a duel for his soul.
When has richter ever tried to gain information about anything he was not already in immediate and desperate need of? i can see anyone other than richter and roswan taking advantage of Arbiter gosip.
You’re right for a guy so concerned with learning he doesn’t ever take time to learn from others. Maybe Mama will straighten that out.
