    And, yes, tis why the brownies only work cleaning houses of humans after dark or live in the forests... in my world, anyway.

    I dont know if they did in the movies, it's been a long time since I've seen any of them, but according to google there is a name for them.

    Actually the correct term that they decided to come up with Grabboids. They named it after seeing their tentacles and it would grab their victims. I don't think they actually named the second one were shriekers. Named because they had thermal vision but when they saw something that moved they shrieked.
