I can pay cash (small amount) or virtual gold/items (huge amount) for anyone willing to write up 200 to 300 words on a LitRPG book, including a short list of four pros and four cons. The review will be published on LitRPG Reads - either with your name or without. Your decision. If you're interested in this quest, hit me up!
Currently listening to it. I've never really done full length reviews though. I have an idea that could be huge or not if you have time for it. Collect first time LitRPG reader's reviews of the FIRST Litrpg book they read and compare them to reviews for the same book by people that had already read over 10 LitRPG books before they got to it. Do that for all books in the genre to really get an idea of who thinks whose books are better.
Does this do surveys? You could post up the new books as a survey and have questions like on 1 to 5 how likely to recommend, 1 to 5 how well was it edited, 1 to 5 how good is the plot, 1 being slow and 5 fast, how quick is the read, etc. Stuff like that. Then just display the current results for each book.
I'd have to buy a plug-in to do it, but I think that might be the best option? Let me look into it. I like @WildAzazel 's idea too.
This QUEST is still open. 10,000 gold for each actual review (like the ones above)... for any of the LitRPG Books on LitRPG Reads. Thanks! Let's make it 20,000 gold per review between now and Sunday night midnight EST.
This is cool. Sorry I was out of town for the last few days. This helps a lot I think, but should 'cover' be part of overall, I feel like that does not impact the story at all, but maybe a separate ranking of things. So the first six are part of the story ranking and you have an overall score for the story. Then add in a series of things that people would want to know: Cover Design LitRPG - Heavy or Lite Stat/Attribute - Heavy or Lite (Noticed this is becoming more of a gripe on the facebook groups) Perspective - First, Third, Dungeon, etc.
For me, too many choices. My eyes glazed over. But I'm just a lazy pleb hereabouts, don't mind me. *sticks nose back in e-book*
Hmmm....maybe I'll practice some review writing and let you know. I probably read most of the titles anyways.
I can (possibly) do some. I probably will, but I don't want to definitely commit myself. I'll reread some of the ones I've already read, to freshen them, and review those too.
I've got a couple of new books lined up for this weekend's read-a-thon, I'd be glad to try and write a review.
