I don’t see any downside to always having a war party going, myself. It won’t work in the dungeon and he can just remake a new one when he goes hunting with a different group, right?
In all reality they are acting as one. That doesn’t mean they have one. I think it has to be a bit more formal. I am interested to see what’s the least amount of people it takes to make a party. I don’t recall and am curious about who can qualify to form a party.
I am kinda hoping the it is one of the orcs that get to be the warleader, but we already know it won’t be.
Yeah, we don’t know for sure, but they’re a warlike people so I wouldn’t be surprised if one has it. I’d like to know the minimum, too, because if it’s 1 then Richter needs it running all the time, IMO.
I wondered if he can use Sloth and his Vorm to make a war party. I wouldn’t be surprised if only sentient creatures or beings can participate in war parties.
With the appearance of them having such cohesive unit tactics they really should be in control of a war party if one is formed. The size of their original party leads me to think one of the Orcs should be of rank.
I don’t think we’ve had any indications that non-sentient beings get to be in parties. They don’t count as people for entering the dungeon, for instance.
I cant remember but he gained the army of 1 thing around the time he fought the decamer night. Maybe book 6? But he can get access to a few limited bonuses when by himself im pretty sure. It seems like he doesnt get the full bonuses and cant get war points unless he has at least one other war party member though. Is that right? Otherwise he could be enjoying like 25% higher attack and defense and collecting war points as he mops up overgrown bugs and worms from the depths.
Well we know that has how it has been, but that could also just be richters dumbassery at play as well. We know the dungeon gives what amounts to a free pass to companions. We also know that the warleader skill benefits from that as well. It is not that big a stretch for me to think richter just never thought of trying to add the adder or alma to his war party. I also think that it is possible we will se a new type of party or warleader subskill that allows for anything to be added. His vassal requirements are kind of broad after all. CREATURES of chaos, not refined souls, mortals, sentients or any other kind of descriptor, just creatures of chaos. This means the chaos serpent would have been back in play, even the dungeon fits the description.

At this point you have wounded 4 orcs.. vs A Monster Blood mage with a Biiig spike, 2 evolved summons, and 2-3 Giant worms(one lvl 19 pet another one is the big one or two)? Orcs re going in my debt for saving their asses hehe ;DD
The drawback would be that whoever is also in the party most likely would receive party messages across vast distaces. So under enemy interrogation party member could reveal data about Richto. However its likely that War party messages might only reachable across short distances like bonuses, still same does not apply for Almas hunting messages for Richter.
