I'm looking for a current list of open and unresolved plot lines, quests, and foreshadowing elements.

I have quite a long list of my own personal speculations about who, what, when, where, why, and how. But it's all speculation based on reasonable inference. It could easily be spoilers for those that do not have a sense of second level thinking. In other words, I want to make sure this is the right place before I reveal my thoughts.

So, what's the deal here? Is this a pretty safe place? I'd hate to write something that delayed book 9 even more.

Who knows? Aleron might spy on us or have one of his boys doing it for him. If so that is pretty fucked up and ridiculous XD

You can say pretty much anything, discuss anything, as long as you try to stay away from biden and/ or trump bashing.

Be warned the forum is definitely not spoiler safe.

Many of the threads already go into wild speculations and crazy, unlikely ideas.

    Ok. Thanks @Dragon
So here is a quick list going from latest to earliest:

    1. The "feel of chaos" at the end of Monsters is both another chaos seed and a shard. Richter will gain an Orc chaotic vassal. This new vassal will become Caulders replacement and train the troops hard.

    2. Richter will outlive the curse, but die before he gets the wand

    3. Richter will use the core to upgrade the Dragon's Cauldron, but regret not using it for the Mana Storage blueprint instead

    4. Roswan will fall for TamyTui and neglect his DK duties or make a sex room

    5. Randy will disappear and Mama will step up

    6. Some buildings will get done, but it won't be all that we know needs to be done already

    7. The MV will get to level 2 and level 3

    8. The kobolds will unite under the "golden idol" Richter found after meeting the Tefliom Queen

    9. Hisako won't have her portal ready and will ask for help

    10. The hearth tree will become a vassal

    11. Yoshi will die

    12. Richter won't be able to use full light armor

    13. Alma won't carry Richter yet

    14. The kobolds will have a bank

    15. The kobolds will become a vassal and cause a rift with the Hearth tree and Randy

    16. When the MV reaches level 2 by completing the catacombs, reaching level 3 only takes 1 easy quest. This upgrades all the existing buildings including the core buildings.

    17. A library is demanded and built.

    18. Roswan creates a dungeon entrance in the Library to have secret rendezvous with TamyTui

    19. The scolls of monster attraction are placed around the dungeon defenses to capture bigger monsters

    20. Roswan places dungeon entrances in the way of invading armies

    21. Roswan gets the summoners ring for building rooms

    22. Roswan builds an alchemy room using the core alchemy set, a bacon room, a mining room, a bedroom, a fairy room, and a death trap room

    23. The dungeon builds an armory room, a water level, a garden room

    24. The dudgeon connects with Talos

    25. Richter builds the mana storage building in a dungeon room

    26. The dungeon connects to the hall of elementals and Randy leaves without notice and looses Companion status

    27. Randy returns and his evil alignment is replaces with Chaos +5 and he becomes a chaotic vassal

    28. Elora gives birth to a new queen who does not swear allegiance to Richter but does swear to a new potential enemy

    29. The MV gains 2 more domain vassals

    30. The mine connects to the Mother Eater

    31. The Mother Eater kills Yoshi and Richter kills it.

    32. The mine is filled with amazing resources

    33. Richter meets the dungeon core one last time

    34. Richter chooses a new MV specialization

    35. Futan evolves and insists on giving Richter the "tour" of the catacombs and reveals several secret rooms and abilities

    36. Sion gets married

    37. Richter falls for Leandra

    38. A sea war occurs

    39. Hisako dies

    40. Sion rules the Hearth Tree

    That's enough for now.

    What do you think?

As in a full armor set completely enchanted with 'Light' magic enchantments?
Or is no longer able to wear a set of armor that qualifies as light armor (as opposed to medium or heavy)?

Wonder if Richter should Level Up the Medium Armour Skill enough (once he gains it) will it give a SMALL % boost for wearing Light Armour? Say 1% boost to Armour Defence/ect first Rank and another 1% or so every other Rank Up (as long as a person also has the Light Armour Skill?), and similarly with Heavy Armour for Medium&Light Armour Skill.
Also wether Light Armour might also give a SMALL boost to Medium Armour Skill Defence (but not Heavy) at Rank Ups of Light Armour, maybe 0.5%? And similarly with Medium Armour Skill for Heavy.

Idk about this, they all seem to be totally specialized. Idk if anyone has the quote though, but i thought the light armor movement penalty dissapeared at journeyman. I assume then that the medium armor movement/casting penalty can be removed entirely at some point. Heavy armor probably not, except maybe at grandmaster rank.

I think Richter should switch to medium armor now and use his bloodline ability in the barracks to quickly train the medium armor skill up as high as possible. Once he hits apprentice, he could switch to wearing medium armor all the time. In the long run it seems like a better choice for him, assuming that the penalties will eventually go away entirely.

Do it for all kinds of armor. And weapons. At a minimum, level everything to initiate rank. It apparently only takes a day or 3 for him to do when he sets his mind to power leveling.

I agree medium armor though my instinct says that heavy would be his best bet long run. It interferes with casting, making it more difficult, which should increase his skill gains in all magic schools. Also because he always throws himself at the front of the army /into duels with powerful enemies. Were I Richter exactly as is in the series, my main what if would always be taking the portal tech instead of heavy armor mastery. Like, he'd basically be indestructible, minimal penalties to casting (unless grand Master really is a thing, but then that much closer to GM), very low movement speed penalty, free str dex and agi training etc.
A lot of people might have chosen a weapon to master, but if you just live long enough to wittle down enemies you can master a weapon later.

Remember what happened when that enchantment project exploded in Richter's face? He lost skill progress as a punishment for failure.

You fail a spell badly due to limited range of movement wearing heavy armor and lose skill progression.

Same concept applied a little differently.

Succes makes you better, failing badly leads to setbacks.

Yes he would likely miscast sometimes in heavy armor at first, but he already does that when doing things like dual casting. Also his master rank in heavy armor would significantly reduce any penalties to casting from wearing it. Nien can cast in heavy armor so it's not out of the question. Should he go directly for master level spells while an initiate in heavy armor? No, but in the opposite position since all his spells or novice and initiate level spells and being a master of heavy armor? Absolutely.

In enchanting, he tried to push too much into something that could not receive it. Be it the mace or wooden ring. He used life magic to get food in a way that directly contradicted the nature of life magic (or some such). These are times he lost progression. He has had spell backlash and spell miscasts before and hasn't suffered any detriment from them, they are their own consequences (wasted mana and severe pain on the backlash) particularly when in combat, the most likely time for one to miss cast and suffer backlash.

Agreed. I wasn't saying it was a bad idea as greater challenge means greater gains. But considering you are throwing energy equivalent to hand grenades around even at low levels, failure is dangerous. Just as dropping a grenade is XD

Its a violation of the nature of the spell more than it is life magic as I read it. Calling a small animal carries an obligation to the creature called. Its not a hunting tool to get free prey, but a magical covenant similar to calling a familiar except temporary.

When Richter killed it he violated that covenant and was rightly punished for his evil actions. Not knowing the basic rules isn't an excuse when you have had half a year and have a mindscape that slows down time to a crawl. Besides, Richter was warned not to do it, he knew it was wrong and did it anyway.

The smart play was clear. A relatively large animal like that isn't surviving off condensed water, it has access to a watersource, which would make for a great ambush spot to wait for other creatures in search of food and water.

True, though usually it all seems to fizzle out (miscast) or be converted to a mana hit to the brain (backlash). Haven't seen an event where a spell cast wrong decides it'd rather explode in casters face rather than one of the two above.
We have seen rag'dor triggering backlash purposefully on the apocalypse spell and exploding from the back rush of mana, but that had extenuating circumstances with massive channeling of an active spell and excess capacity from the stone added in. Still possible but again, Richter only has trash tier spells. His highest spell level is in the mid teens and even the next spell we have a direct line on (lightning ball) is only like 18 or so.

So still best to be careful, but I think heavy armor would only cause miscasts and not backlash. Failure in movement, like when Richter couldn't get the proper hand orientations for sonic wail against the dark abberation, or when he's running/swimming/moving, all result in the spell 'fizzling out' and just wastes the mana.

    Continuing:

    41. The Barrow Dungeon connects to the Ancient dungeon in the MV lands

    42. The scholars study the mini-Stonehenge and help build a replica in a Room in the Barrow where Richter can use the Fairy Water

    43. The map fragment is added to Richter's map

    44. The God node connects all continental Dungeons

46a. The magic core is used to create a casters chamber

46b. Alternatively, A mana collection room is added to the Dungeon and the Core is used to create the Mana Storage building with the blueprint in this room

46c. The Core is used to create a Library - what would this do? Maybe finish a lot of research that is already known by the present professionals

    47. Richter starts a Chaos seed war that allows him to claim thousands and thousands of Chaos points that he uses to buy all his Chaos Lord levels

    48. Richter is able to use the Hammer/Ax found in the treasury due to his limitless ability. This exposes his ability to Krom and causes a rift

    49. The MV fixes the Bat roost and it gains the special Dark leveled building bonus for matching the ley line

    50. A vampire joins the MV and lives in the Bat Roost

    51. The Goblin cook from Rosey's place is given the disguise ring (to stop problems) and becomes the master chef of the MV

    52. The portal connects to The Twins

    53. The portal connects to the Behemoth slime

    54. The portal connects to the Map Fragment location

    55. The portal connects to a Bank

    56. The Skaths live in the moat

    57. Beyan grows in power and challenges Richter with an army of undead

    58. The Kinder convince 5 new tribes to join

    59. The Serrated Mountain Dwarves pledge allegiance to Richter

    60. A chest filled with Chaotic shards is found

    Thoughts?

    63. The catacombs become an actual castle

    70. Richter uses the Core and his Golem to create an MV guardian.

    71. Richter feeds his guardian to the well of offering
