It’s like those app advertisements where they play horribly and make people want to download them and do it right.
You didn't get the email? System Apocalypse starts on earth for real in 12 days! What are the rules of the system being forced upon us? I heard there's two main classes, Readers and Authors.
You forgot my group! The illiterate’s. We are like the air. We are everywhere, yet mostly silent, at times we howl hot and cold. Once heated we become quite bold.
He did a live video yesterday and said: he's working on book 9 the third series connects to The Land/Labyrinth and is titled Omni Mage God's Eye is on hold until 9 and Omni Mage come out.
If you watch his video again you will see he is working on book nine with some like of enthusiasm. His new series that ties in he says has captured a lot of his time. Then he goes on to speak of all the other things in life he has been enjoying. Book 9 did not fall into that category.
dont trust jack. Hes bluffing and hes sus. Its every day same story... I'm gonna gonna book 9 bla bla bla... He could have written 4 books by now. and for last 2 yo we got nothing besides some rando commics
Considering he’s planning on releasing a few chapters on Patreon ahead of its release and it hasn’t seen anything yet, definitely not.
Well there is still time, the last week of December is still this year. Not that I actually believe it will happen, I am still pretty sure book 9 is coming out December of next year.
Except winds of winter might, might, MIGHT, be worth the wait (or at the very least, really good). Aleron's book probably won't be. He had a spark of wonder with the pixies and a dreadful foe in the goblins. The land could have been big. Then he went off the rails and wrote God's eye. Which admittedly is decent mechanics wise, but I did not enjoy the character interactions at all and he went way too far into one dimensional characters (where is the redeeming traits in the MC? Richter is an asshole, but at least he CARES about something). Then there are the other gods where he could have given them all sorts of weird, extreme personalities (justified by them being ancient beings that have had thousands of years to figure themselves out, good and bad) and instead went for paper cutouts. The worshippers might be slightly less one dimensional, but not by a lot.
Yeah, there definitely isn’t time for it to come out this year. I feel like I’m getting deja vu with this release.
I liked god’s eye. The MC was pretty brutal but he cares about his people’s survival as a whole and I think his family, too, AFAIK. He is a bit of a sociopath, though.
I don't care about the brutality that part is fine. Its the fact that everyone is barely one-dimensional and that the MC has few if any personal bonds to anyone. A good story is carried by interesting character interactions, whether they are with an antagonist or an ally or a subordinate or anything really. I don't hate it, its enjoyable enough, but definitely mid tier as litrpg goes.
