*I was going to put this in the Works In Progess forum but it said I didn't have privileges to post there* This is my first attempt at writing a litrpg novel (well any novel). I welcome constructive criticism. Varnoth: The Black Blade Book One "What would you do if you awoke crucified and dying? This litRPG story follows Varnoth, a strong and agile shadow panther, on his journey to discover who he is and explore the world of Albattara. Varnoth: The Black Blade is a heavy litRPG containing all of the elements you've come to expect from the genre -- xp, leveling, crafting, dungeons, skills, abilities, quests, npcs, monsters, world exploration, fleshed out side characters, ingredient gathering, and LOOT! Fans of The Land, The Dark Herbalist, and Dante's Immortality will feel right at home reading Varnoth: The Black Blade." Varnoth: The Black Blade (A LitRPG Story) | Royal Road
Got you added to the @Aspiring Writer and @LitRPG Author groups. I'm moving this thread to the Royal Road sub-forum. Hope that's okay!
well, several authors say the longer the novel the better. I have 17,000 words done so far. I am going to shoot for 80,000-100,000 words at least. it is pretty daunting when i look at it that way lol.
@Paul Bellow I can't believe you gave @LitRPG Re-Roll privileges to post in works in progress. That's an elite group made up mostly by me and then a bunch of other authors trying to be me. Did you even make sure he sacrificed a goat first? Good work on the writing dude! You're hitting that point where it's now becoming obvious that you can do this! (At leasts that's how I felt around the 40k mark on my first book). Won't be too long before we see your work on THE AMAZON, the great library of all LitRPG.
