I am re-reading one of my own books (Relic Hunted)--actually listening to the audiobook version, as I am currently working on the third book in the series, and it's been a while (2016) the second book in the series was released. While I do have notes and information on the world and characters, getting the tone and character voices right (after havinig written 10 books since it's release).

Currently I am listening to the short audiobook, Chronos Beach, performed by the Atlanta Radio Theatre Company, written by Thomas E. Fuller.

I like the imagery and description, and the sort of haunting yet hopeful main song incorporated throughout the tale.

I am currently listening (along with my wife when we're in the car/truck together) to Nemesis, the 5th novel in the Monster Hunters International Series by Larry Correia.

I've already listened to, and enjoyed) the first 8 books in the series. My wife got intersted so I am relistening to them while she enjoys them for the first time.

I began re-reading The Nightmare Game System (a LitRPG Horror) by Raymond Johnson

Enjoyed it a couple years back and liking it as I re-read.

Just finished re-listening to Ready Player One (by Earnest Cline).

I never got the desire to read the second book, Ready Player Two. Probably never will. Reviews have been mixed. The first book really had a full story arc and ended the tale. I've found in the past, when that happens and a new book follows, extending the tale, it can taint future enjoyment of re-reading or listening to the first book while not really enjoying the second one.

I’m reading a bunch of books on RoyalRoad and a couple on kindle. One of the better ones is the hack, slash, and burn series.

Just re-read Raptor Red by Robert T Bakker.

The author is a pretty well-known paleontologist/professor who consulted for the early Jurassic Park movies, and wrote some innovative or forward-thinking nonfiction on dinosaurs. Raptor Red is a fiction novel that follows a Utah Raptor (think raptors in Jurassic Park) over a year. The details that incorporate the fauna and flora of the time really adds to the tale.

I recently finished (for the second time reading/listening) How Science Shapes Science Fiction (from The Great Courses series).

It was interesting, and gave me ideas to implement in future writing endeavors. I've written some SF novels and try to stay close to what is known and understood, and speculated upon based upon that knowledge when writing.

I am currently re-reading Red Phoenix by Larry Bond. It's a 1980s war/techno thriller along the lines of what Tom Clancy wrote. This one is about a war with North Korea. I read it decades ago, but remembered finding it a decent read back then and am enjoying it again, recalling bits and pieces as I go along.

Finished Fevre Dream by George RR Martin. It was decent. A little different take on a vampire tale.

Not a lot happens, but I enjoyed the steamboat element to the tale. Not one I would re-read, however.

Re-listening to Red Storm Rising by Tom Clancy. It's a bit dated of a Cold War tale, but still pretty good. So many angles (land, sea and air) are portrayed.

Read Confessions of a D-List Supervillian, but Jim Bernheimer.

Fun, interesting characters, and fast paced.

No, it's not LitRPG. It's about a villain (really not on the radar for heroes to deal with) who has to step forward to save the world from a menace. Has humor, creativity, good action and a fast-paced read. If you like super-hero movies or comics, this is probably a good fit.

The audiobook version is excellent as well.

Currently, I am listening to Supercarrier (the Box Set), thus three novels, by Scott Bartlett.

I am about 1/2 way through the listen, and it is decent. Not spectacular, but in many ways creative with alien species and some space battle tactics.

I finally quit with it. Characters making too many stupid decisions/actions to counter what kept my interest.

I finished Godzilla x Kong (the novel). It was pretty decent. Again, too heavy on the non-Kiju characters. I get some but too many other storylines. I enjoy the way the thoughts and motives of Godzilla, Kong and the other monsters are described. Gives potential ideas for my writing. I have not seen the movie. Probably will, in some fashion.
