I like humor and satire. It's actually hard to get that just right though. hmmmmm I like unusual monsters too, it seems Spiders and Dragons are in every book I've read recently so something bizzare is welcomed (like the mini-boss being the project manager!)
I really like humor but I always disliked satire sometimes its done in a way I can accept but most of the time it feels like it cheepens the book if all it does is make jokes at other books expenses although I can say i like "honest" satire where the book does things in a way that highlights the thing without outright makeing fun of it
