Seriously. He's just holding that in reserve and we still don't know what Richter is missing out on. Only known Focuses (Focii?) so far Randy Focus : Counter intelligence Specialization : Spy Proffesion : Rogue Nien Focus : Soul Eater Specialization : Death Knight Proffesion : Warrior On top of this, raising up a tier doesn't appear to be the answer to obtaining one since Richter still doesn't have one. What do you guys think? What kind of focuses (Focii?) do you want to see pop up for the specializations we've seen? What is the plural of Focus? Does a Focus disqualify you for a second or tertiary profession? What are the qualifications for getting a focus?
Soul Enchanter for our Boy Richto?!.. A bit like a succubus lol Focus should make one super OP. That is one more reason why Nien should not have been defeated so easily too.. but its a fantasy story so its fine probably
I'm thinking that it allows for the Improvement and further Development and expansion in one of his Specialisation Talent Tree's, in Richters case I'm thinking an some type of improvement in either his Talent to change any Spells into Enchantments, maybe by making it cheaper to do so (& possibly even to turn Enchantments into Spells as well?), or more likely that his Talent to turn Experience into Talent Points will be Altered and Improved in some way.
I like that thought, wats to unlock it could include a certain amount of purchases in the area or more like an expertise, where he actually has to practice those areas of his profession/specialty to the point that he becomes an expert.
Enchanter needs at least level 10, so every ten levels should bring another... tier? So +10 profession, +10 specialization, +10 focus. This has not happened. So it seem Aleron couldn't think of what to do. Similar should a killing Professional have a +20 profession, +20 specialization, +20 focus...no that doesn't work either. Maybe it has to do with progressing down a single path of talent purchases. As such it isn't given you new talents paths, but warning others what aspect your talents have focused on.
In Wuxia there is always a pill for that. Usually half an ark is about finding the materials to make it. I suppose there should be some benefit of progressing so far down a path, like a new path forming that otherwise wouldn't be there. Good thing for Richtær he can max out many paths.
For Scion, Imbued Archery or Enhanced Imbued Archery He could possibly get different imbuing options besides explosive and electric results. Acidic? Confusion? Fire? Enchantment augmenting? For Sumiko, Healer or Life Warrior Specialty heal spells or body alteration talents. Life weapon talents like Summon Life Sword
not sure if this is a good enough thread, but I believe for the profession quest every villager of the mists should be power leveled to lvl 10, should be super easy and then fed a quickening fruit.. We would get massive bonuses to the entive MV, and perhaps even level the quickening tree soo sooo good
It'd be sweet if it let him start attaching spells to his imbued shots. Richter-"what the hell man you shot me at the beginning of the fight" Scion - "Eh, the damage wasn't that much and I imbued it with weak haste. Don't be a baby. "
I Forgot about Sumikosan. Master mage without a profession? I can't recommend any. I mostly came at it from the Chinese manga side, but there are supposed to be lots of novels (translations) of them. The only American one I have listened/read is the Ten Realms series. Kinda an odd cultural clash between 2 military Westerners in a Chinese Fantasy world.
Probably no profession. no analyze stat sheet. Can anyone remember if it was ever mentioned? I want her to be a battle mage, but ...
Sumiko is just a Mage, though that's classified as combat proffession. Spoiler: Sumiko Mage, Chapter 74 book 7 {} Battle Mage is a specialization of the profession we saw from the kobolds chasing him through a forest. Spoiler: Yi'Asan Battle Mage, Chapter 19 book 3 {}
Thanks. A combat type Magi. Would she have been in a position to earn lots of XP? The only things I recall her killing was a void skeleton plus some Eldritch skeletons. So probably no specialization anytime soon. Might have been in a war party for the Eldritch Litch battle.
Sorcerer, wizard, mancer? Sucks for those mages with non-killing spells. Healers, rain caller, plant growers, etc.
But they get powerful talents to make up for it, that directly benefit their stats, and make casting more effieient, more likely to succeed and would still help in combat which, it's the Land, nice to have a back up plan.
