I've been watching this over and over when coming up with potential scenes for El Sexorcisto Z!
I also watched a good bit of this while writing Ghosts of Smoke.
Though I don't think I quite got the feel of it right.
You know, back in 2012 or so, I actually did LARP as if I was in Skyrim around my house's land, pretending I had AR and they just released "Skyrim AR Edition" (well before all the memes of Skyrim rereleases became a thing). I wound up enjoying roleplaying as a thief the most, even though I always max out offensive magickal abilities in the game. I wonder if that unconsciously impacted how GoS played out.
Yeah, it was not long after I watched this:
I think X-Play introduced me to the concept and I looked up to see if it was real, and by that time it was.
I've never played D&D— it's ironic how the nerdiest game in history is also a game that requires friends to play— so I have to give praise unto the Internet for allowing me to watch others play.
China, Persia, and Greece were on another level in ancient times.
