Yeah, Lara's been churning out the content and contributions lately, I've been hearting her posts like crazy.
I'm busy worldbuilding my LitRPG, and plotting, not really started writing yet*. And images are very inspirational so I've been googling lots of them. Was trying to decide what races I wanted my players to be able to choose from (so I have an idea of who else is wandering through the world, and what they can do). I've got my stats, my races - a good bit of tension between the up and coming human empire and the last bastions of free humanity holding out against them (and my orc language. I built a conlang one day because I was bored). I have my main character, and the beginning of a plot, and the sort of vague idea of where it's all going. Just working out class options now. *I say not really started writing, but my worldbuilding has somehow become Larakel's Walkthrough for Everron and is about 17 pages long right now. I'm thinking I might bundle it with the book and give it away for free. Or do I really want readers to know exactly how my world works? Not sure yet.
The forums are fun. And so new I feel like my suggestions can help build something awesome for the future. I've never been on a forum with a steal ability before. Or gold. It's a cool idea.
A beholder. Pfft. When my old DM got bored of DMing he sent three to kill us. I miss my minotaur paladin of death, she was epic.
Why can't it be both? An Epic Mimic with Epic loot. Once played an early MUD called Gemstone. Damn near everything dropped a box, the boxes all had monstrously deadly traps and almost impossible to pick locks. Treasure, a few silver and maybe half of an apple. If the bloody kobold could put his lunch in the box, why didn't he have a key?!? Where are all the keys for these damn boxes?
Ah, no, sword and sorcery text MUD that was an incredibly horrible adaption of the Rolemaster RPG, until ICE refused to renew their licensing when it ran out. It was game-logic that was designed to make treasure accumulation as difficult as possible. When I played it, they had run through the bigger guns/better armor cycle several times. Simutronics, proving that there is always going to be a cult following for almost all games.
I typed "squirrel armor" into Giphy looking for something else, but I couldn't pass that up. Anyone know what it's from originally? I kinda want to watch it now lol
