I started out writing just for the money and heh yeah it, can be draining really fast. I managed to get into a genre I enjoy but still, sometimes the bonds that the genre I chose really kept me down. I haven't read a Gor book in years. I read the first one I think. I found it at an old book sale and I fell in love with it, but I haven't taken the time to read more (I really should). Those cookies...is that why I've been feeling light headed and seeing weird shapes?
I don't know why but that book reminds me of a harem story I read. This sultan had a harem of women. The twist in the story came when the harem women used a device to mentally control the sultan so they were the de facto rulers of the city. One writer I really love to read is Piers Anthony the series with "On a Pale Horse" and the Xanth series were awesome.

As you chew the cookie (crunchy yet soft), you get a pixie wing stuck in your throat. Your voice changes for D20 days.
I read most of the Gor books. The first few were the best, but then Tarl turned very bitter and I didn't find them as much fun. But I loved the idea of "Tarns" that I've put giant eagles and hawks in a lot of my fantasy.
I think I own and read one, maybe two of them. I mostly frolicked around in SL roleplaying the world >.> Def got the majority of the story through passages and stuff written in-game.
The Gor books were interesting until he started having characters give speeches. I just started picturing that some of the characters had moved beyond bondage and had dipped their toes into scholastic porn. "Now you, Slave, give me your thesis"
Sometimes I though John Norman was trying to brainwash his readers into believing all women wanted to be, and should be, slaves. It got tiresome.
Hi again everyone. I had a quick announcement so I wouldn't cause any confusion. I'm a guy. I have a female name on here because it is the pen name I used when writing erotica. I never bothered to change it because that is what my writers know me as and I'm trying to carry over my fanbase from my erotic works. Sorry if I caused any confusion.
Noooooooo! I was already making up elaborate fantasies about you. I mean... Of course I knew you was a dude. You think I'm crazy or something. Oh no.
Ahhh I fell for it lol. I was even thinking, "Damn this chick has it going on with the writing skillz." Now I shall re-adjust to non-chickness and think of you as the dude in the group that likes to play female toons ^^
Oh no my ruse has been found out. Haha jk. I do have a quick question for everyone. I just released my LitRPG book today. I asked Paul about this but I haven't heard back yet. Can I place my new release in the "New Releases" thread?
